“…Because of you hope is within reach. Your gift to OPFOB is more than generosity –it’s a lifeline.  It powers our mission to prevent veteran and first responder suicide, expands access to healing programs, and helps us create spaces where recovery is possible and community is strong.  We are profoundly grateful for your belief in this mission.  Together, we are building a future where those who’ve served are never left behind.”

"...Ellis, a PEP member from Ridgeland, lives with

his elderly mother, who is no longer able to drive. Without PEP's Transportation Program, Ellis would have no reliable way to attend PEP and would likely spend most of his days at home, isolated from the friendships, activities, and opportunities that bring meaning and structure to his life.  It provides a routine he can count on and the opportunity to be an active participant in his community rather than simply remaining at home.  For Ellis's mother, PEP's transportation provides something equally important: peace of mind. As she has grown older and can no longer drive, she knows that her son can continue to have a full and meaningful life without transportation becoming a barrier."

"...Thank you for your generous grant to provide supplemental healthy produce and protein for our neighbors in need in Jasper County.  You are enabling us and our agency parters to improve nutrition and health of those we serve and provide an array of beautiful foods that reaffirms their dignity and makes them excited to provide homecooked meals for their family. . ."

"...On behalf of the Child Abuse Prevention Association, we thank you for your grant for our program. Stopping child abuse and neglect, taking care of its victims, and ultimately preventing abuse through education is no easy endeavor.  Your gift helps make our work possible and perhaps a little easier.  Grants like yours help operate a children's home for abused and neglected children. It helps us have the resources to recruit, train and support local foster families.  It allows us to educate school students about keeping their bodies safe and to teach parents how to use positive parenting skills.  It lights the way for us to walk hand in hand with families at risk."

“…A teen mom participated in CAPA’s Safe Sleep Education program in Jasper County, where she learned practical strategies for creating a safe sleep environment and placing her baby in a safe sleep position every time. Her grandparents, who serve as her primary caregivers, also attended the class, giving the family an opportunity to learn together and build a shared understanding of safe sleep practices.  Through the program, the family gained valuable knowledge and greater confidence in reducing sleep-related risks and creating a safer environment for the baby. Their commitment to learning and consistently practicing safe sleep habits reflects an important step toward supporting the baby’s safety, health, and well-being.”

On behalf of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry we thank you for your thoughtful and very generous donation. Your gift allows us to prepare a new generation of students to thrive by giving them support in academics, athletics, arts and innovation.  Great futures start every day at our clubs, with over 1,00 members age 6-18 across the Lowcountry.  Our goal is to serve more children and offer them opportunities that spark their interest and feed their passions.  You are helping us make certain all members of The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, Jasper, Colleton and Hampton counties have what they need to succeed in life.

"The time had come when we knew we needed After School services for Bentley.  Bentley attends Royal Live Oaks Academy.  Oh my lord, he has been through so much; me and his Papa had to step in and take care of him.  He would occasionally get upset and out of control; grades were failing, and I know this was happening because he didn’t have the stability he needed to do well and to learn.  I cried for many days trying to figure out how and where I could take my grandchild to get the help he needed.   We were at our wits end and didn’t know what to do.  I was talking to someone about our situation one day and they told me about Agape Family Life Center. I went to Agape, filled out the application for their After School Program  and got him enrolled almost immediately.  Oh my God! After a few days, I knew this was the place for my Bentley.  It brought tears to my eyes to know that he was in a place where he could get the help he needed, and with people who were passionate about helping children. I felt like Bentley was in a safe place.   My family has gone through so much!!! But, since we have been to  Agape, we have seen great improvement in Bentley.  Bentley is doing so much better in school, his grades have improved and it’s because of the staff at Agape.  Bentley has even gotten better at home.  We used to have these moments where he was misbehaving, talking back, and having tantrums almost daily.  But now, although it hasn’t stopped totally, it is so much better.   At Agape, he gets help with his homework.  He learns new life skills, and his socialization has even improved.  Agape treats us like family.  When I pick up Bentley, sometimes they have food for us to take home, not knowing that’s the day when we need it most.  I’m just so grateful to know Agape and glad that my grandson is getting better every day because of it."   Submitted by Bentley's grandparent

PEP's students enjoy direct inbound and outbound bus transportation to and from the PEP facility.  PEP serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. RCF provided a grant to assist with PEP's Jasper County transportaion budget.

A grant was awarded for a camp to provide tools to close the gap in education deficiency.  The camp was available to Jasper County children ages 4-13, with data provided by school reports and standardized tests.  A second grant supported after school programs, youth day camp and summer camp. These programs are designed to reduce learning loss and promote academic achievement when children are not in school.
