The Riverton Charitable Fund was established in 2022 when a group of residents of Riverton Pointe made a commitment to help others.  This photo captured the first retreat of that forward-thinking group of people, who started a movement that, to date, has allocated over $140,000 in grants to 30 nonprofits in Jasper County.

This commemorative plaque is displayed at Jack’s Place, our neighborhood gathering space.  As the Riverton Pointe neighborhood grows, so does the Riverton Charitable Fund.  The RCF historically and currently is led by a board of Riverton Pointe residents who are bound by a common vision to help meet the needs of our neighbors in the following three pillars:
     •  Food insecurity
     •  Community support
     •  Education

Our Mission

Our Mission

The mission of Riverton Charitable Fund (RCF) is to bring Riverton Pointe neighbors together in support of Jasper County, working to meet local needs and improve the quality of life for all who live here.

Our vision

Riverton Pointe is a community that cares deeply about the needs of Jasper County, with a special focus on our neighbors in Hardeeville. United by shared values and a spirit of compassion, we are committed to understanding local challenges, addressing them, and investing in stronger outcomes together.

Our Purpose

The Riverton Charitable Fund exists to enhance lives through targeted outreach and investments in three pillars: Food insecurity, Community support, and Education. We accomplish this by raising funds, engaging stakeholders, and building partnerships to create positive impact within Jasper County and the city of Hardeeville.

Fulfilling Our Mission

Community Foundation of the Lowcountry - Copy.jpg

After exploring possibilities, the Riverton Charitable Fund (RCF)  associated and became a fund with the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry (CFL).  With more than $125 million invested in the Lowcountry area since 1994, CFL is the largest source of unrestricted philanthropic resources dedicated to Beaufort, Colleton, Hampton and Jasper Counties.  This association allows us to receive fund management services along with tax, marketing, and legal support.  Additionally, CFL provides expertise by identifying, promoting and vetting quality nonprofits that align with our areas of focus and ensuring that nonprofits are aware of our work within Jasper County. This relationship permits a symbiotic structure that allows a fund of our size to thrive while enhancing impact.

How Do We Do This?

We accomplish our goals by raising funds through various events, and community and business sponsorships which have allowed us to flourish and make a positive impact on our local nonprofits by awarding grants.  Click the links below to learn more.
